Sharks beat HEXAGONE to win Superliga Finals

Sharks have won the Superliga 2017 Finals after defeating HEXAGONE 3-1 in the grand final.

Held at Clickfiel, in the northern part of Portugal, the event featured the top four teams of the regular season, who competed in a single-elimination bracket for the grand prize of €3,000 (~$3,750).

The semi-finals went largely as expected as the two top seeds, Sharks and HEXAGONE, won their respective matches, although the Brazilian side had to work hard to beat Defining Stars after losing the first map of the series.

With Leonardo "⁠leo_drk⁠" Oliveira averaging over 30 frags and a Rating of over 2.0, Sharks took a quick 2-0 lead in the series following convincing wins on Train and Inferno. HEXAGONE then hit back on Nuke, where Renato "⁠renatoohaxx⁠" Gonçalves boasted a 1.73 Rating, and almost pulled off a miraculous comeback on Cache from 2-14 down, but the Brazilians remained calm and collected, and wrapped things up in overtime.
